How to Create a Quote
Before You Start
Quotes are created from an existing Opportunity after you've completed your site visit and gathered all the information required for the job.
A Quote allows you to define the scope of works, pricing, responsibilities, terms and conditions before sending it to your client.
Step 1 - Select an Opportunity
- Open the Opportunity you want to quote.
- Click Create Quote.

Step 2 - Import a Quote Template
- Select Import a Quote Template.
- Enter a meaningful Quote title.
- If required, enter an Alternate ID to record your client's project, purchase order or reference number.

Step 3 - Fill In The Quote
- Add the required Items to your Quote.
- Work through the tabs from left to right:
- Clauses
- Provided By
- Address
- Intro
- Appendix
- Conditions & Details
- Then complete the Checklists section which is at the bottom of your screen.

Step 4 - Preview & Complete your Quote
- Preview your Quote to check the finished document.
- Click Quote Completed when you're ready to send it.

Best Practice
- Complete your Items and Checklist before working through the remaining tabs. Both of these trigger the Master Matrix, which automatically generates Clauses and "Provided By" information based on your Quote.
- Once your Items and Checklist are complete, work through the remaining tabs from left to right.
- Write your Introduction last. Although it appears on the first page of the Quote, it's much easier to write once you've completed the rest of the Quote and have a clear understanding of the project.
- Use the Preview Quote button before completing your Quote to check the finished PDF.
