How to Manage Quote Clauses
Overview
Clauses allow you to include important information, exclusions and conditions in your Quote.
When a Quote is created, JGID automatically includes the standard Clauses configured in your Master Matrix. You can choose which of these Clauses appear on the Quote, and you can also add custom Clause text that applies only to the current Quote.
Steps
- Open your Quote and select the Clauses tab.
- Review the Clauses that have been automatically included from your Master Matrix.
- Show or hide individual Clauses as required for the current Quote.
- To add Quote-specific information, click the Edit (pen) icon in the Custom Clauses section.
- Enter or edit the custom Clause text.
- Save your changes.
Best Practice
- Configure your standard Clauses in the Master Matrix so they're automatically available on every new Quote.
- Hide standard Clauses that aren't relevant to the current Quote rather than removing them from the Master Matrix.
- Use the Custom Clauses section for information that only applies to this specific Quote.
