How to Add a Sub-Item Group

Before You Start

Sub-Item Groups allow you to organise related Items together within a Quote. This can make larger Quotes easier to read and manage by grouping Items under a common heading.

Step 1 - Navigate to the Items Tab

  1. Open your Quote.
  2. Select the Items tab.

Step 2 - Add a Sub-Item Group

  1. Click + Sub-Item Group.
  2. Enter a name for the Sub-Item Group.
  3. Add the required Services, Materials, Instruments, Consumables or other Items into the group.
  4. Edit the quantities, pricing and descriptions as required.
  5. Click Save.

Best Practice

  • In most cases, it's easier to start with a Composed Item, as it can be saved and reused from your Inventory.
  • Use Sub-Item Groups when you simply want to organise Items within the current Quote.
  • If you create a group that you'll use again, consider converting it into a Composed Item for future reuse.

Summary

  1. Open your Quote.
  2. Select the Items tab.
  3. Click + Sub-Item Group.
  4. Enter a name for the Sub-Item Group.
  5. Add the required details.
  6. Edit the quantities, pricing and descriptions.
  7. Click Save.
