How to Save a Composed Item to Your Inventory

Overview

While creating or editing a Quote, you can save a Composed Item to your Inventory for future use. This allows you to build a library of commonly quoted assemblies, making future Quotes faster and more consistent.

Step 1

  1. Open your Quote.
  2. Navigate to the Items tab.


Step 2

  1. Add or edit an Item.
  2. or edit a Composed Item.


Step 3

  1. Make any changes required to the rates, quantities or sub-items.
  2. Click Save and Add as New Composed Item.
  3. Enter a suitable name and any additional details if prompted.
  4. Save the new Composed Item.
  5. The Composed Item will now be available in your Inventory for use in future Quotes.


Best Practice

  • If an existing Composed Item is almost what you need, use it as a starting point rather than creating a new one from scratch.
  • Make your changes, then use Save and Add as New Composed Item to create a new version.
  • Give Composed Items clear, descriptive names so they're easy to find later.
