How to Add an Item to a Quote

Before You Start

Items are the building blocks of your Quote.

You can add Services, Materials, Instruments, Consumables, PPE and Composed Items directly from your Inventory.

If the item doesn't already exist, you can create a Custom Item or add it to your Inventory first for future use.

Adding an Item to a Quote

Step 1 - Navigate to the Items Tab

  1. Open your Quote.
  2. Select the Items tab.

Step 2 - Create a New Item

  1. Click + Item.
  2. Search for the item you want to add.
  3. Select the required Service, Material, Instrument, Consumable, PPE or Composed Item.
  4. Click OK to add it to your Quote.
  5. Edit the quantity, pricing or details if required.
  6. Click Save.

Best Practice

  • Whenever possible, add items from your Inventory instead of creating Custom Items. This keeps your Inventory organised and ensures items can be reused in future Quotes.
  • If you're creating a new Service or Material that you'll use again, create it in your Inventory first, then add it to the Quote.
  • If you're creating a new Composed Item while building a Quote, you can save it to your Inventory for future use.
