How to Retrospectively Create and Assign a Calendar to a User

After creating a user in JGID, you can create a calendar for them and link the calendar directly to their user account.

Video tutorial

▶️ Watch the video tutorial below to see how to create and assign a user calendar in JGID.

Before you begin

The user must already be created and active in your JGID account.

Create and assign the calendar

  1. Go to Calendars.
  2. In the top-left corner, click the small downward-pointing triangle.
  3. Select Manage Calendars.
  4. Click the green + New Calendar button.
  5. Enter a name for the calendar.
  6. Choose the calendar colour.
  7. At the bottom, open the Owner drop-down menu.
  8. Select the active user who should own the calendar.
  9. Click Save.

What happens next?

The calendar will be linked to the selected owner’s JGID user account. You can then continue scheduling and managing work using their calendar.

If the user does not appear as an owner

Confirm that:

  • The user has already been created in JGID.
  • The user is active.
  • The user does not already own another calendar.

If the user is active, does not own a calendar and still does not appear in the Owner drop-down menu, contact JGID Support.
