Finding Your API Token

Overview

JGID provides an API Token that allows authorised applications to securely connect to your JGID account.

Your API Token is unique to your account and should be treated like a password. Anyone with access to your token may be able to access your JGID data through the API.

Note: API Tokens are only available to users with the appropriate permissions.

Finding Your API Token

To view your API Token:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select your name.
  3. Click Manage Account.
  4. Locate the API Token section.

Your API Token can then be used when configuring integrations or developing applications that connect to JGID.

Keeping Your API Token Secure

Your API Token provides authenticated access to your JGID account.

Do not:

  • Share your API Token with unauthorised people.
  • Publish it in documentation or online.
  • Store it in unsecured locations.
  • Email it in plain text unless absolutely necessary.

If you believe your API Token has been compromised, contact JGID Support immediately.

Using the JGID API

The API allows external software and custom applications to communicate with JGID.

Developers can use the JGID API to automate workflows, exchange data and build integrations with other business systems.

For technical information, refer to the JGID API documentation.

Best Practice

  • Treat your API Token like a password.
  • Only provide your token to trusted applications.
  • Regularly review any applications connected to your JGID account.
  • Contact JGID Support if you suspect your token has been compromised.
