Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Overview

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your JGID account.

After entering your password, you'll also be asked to verify your identity using an authentication app on your mobile device.

This helps protect your account even if someone else discovers your password.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication

To enable 2FA:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select your name.
  3. Click Manage Account.
  4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your authentication app.

Once enabled, you'll be asked to enter a verification code each time you sign in from a new or untrusted device.

Authentication Apps

JGID supports standard authentication apps, including:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Other compatible authenticator apps

If You Change or Lose Your Phone

If you no longer have access to your authentication app, you may be unable to sign in.

Please contact JGID Support for assistance.
