Copying a Task Link

Overview

Every Task has its own unique link.

Copying this link allows you to quickly direct another user straight to the Task without asking them to search for it.

To copy a Task's link:

  1. Right-click the Task.
  2. Select Copy Link.

The link can then be pasted into:

  • Emails.
  • Internal messages.
  • Notes.
  • Chat applications.

Anyone with permission to access the Task's Board can open it directly from the link.

Why It's Useful

Sharing a direct link removes the need to explain:

  • Which Board the Task is on.
  • Which List it's in.
  • What it's called.

Instead, users can open the Task immediately and continue working.

Best Practice

  • Share Task links when discussing work with colleagues.
  • Remember that users must have access to the Board before they can open the Task.
