Using Due Dates & Reminders
Overview
Due Dates help your team understand when a Task should be completed.
Reminders ensure important Tasks aren't forgotten by notifying users before the due date arrives.
Setting a Due Date
Every Task can include:
- A Due Date.
- A Due Time.
This makes it easy to prioritise work and identify overdue Tasks.
Reminders
Reminder notifications can be configured to occur before the Task is due.
By default, reminders are set to 30 minutes before the Due Time.
However, this can be changed to suit the Task.
For example:
- Minutes
- Hours
- Days
- Weeks
This flexibility allows reminders to be tailored to the type of work being performed.
Why Managers Love Due Dates
Due Dates help teams plan ahead rather than reacting at the last minute.
Combined with reminders, they provide confidence that important work won't be overlooked.
Best Practice
- Set Due Dates for all time-sensitive Tasks.
- Choose reminder periods that suit the type of work.
- Review overdue Tasks regularly.
