Moving Tasks Between Boards

Overview

Sometimes a Task belongs in a different workflow.

Rather than recreating the Task, JGID allows you to move it from one Board to another.

Moving a Task

To move a Task to another Board:

  1. Right-click the Task.
  2. Select Move.
  3. Choose the destination Board.
  4. Select the appropriate List on that Board.
  5. Save your changes.

The Task will now become part of the new Board.

What Happens Next?

When a Task is moved to another Board:

  • It adopts the workflow of the new Board.
  • The available Lists change to those belonging to the new Board.
  • The users available for assignment change to those who have access to that Board.

This helps ensure Tasks always remain within the correct team or department.

Best Practice

  • Move Tasks when responsibility changes between teams.
  • Don't recreate Tasks unnecessarily.
  • Confirm the Task has been placed into the correct List after moving.
