Creating a Job from an Accepted Quote
Creating a Job from an Accepted Quote
Overview
Once your client has accepted a Quote, JGID allows you to convert it directly into a Job.
This ensures all of the information you've prepared during the quoting process—including Items, Clauses, Inclusions, pricing and project details—flows through into the Job, eliminating the need to enter the information a second time.
Creating a Job
- Open the accepted Quote.
- Click Quote Accepted.
- JGID will create a new Job linked to the Quote.
- The Opportunity, Quote and Job remain connected, providing a complete history of the project.
What Happens Next?
Once the Job has been created, you can continue managing the project by:
- Scheduling staff and equipment.
- Allocating resources.
- Recording Worksheets and Timesheets.
- Completing inspections, reports and other project documentation.
- Generating Invoices.
Because the Job is created directly from the Quote, your team can continue working from the information that has already been prepared.
Why Create a Job from a Quote?
Creating a Job directly from the accepted Quote helps ensure consistency throughout the project.
Benefits include:
- No duplicate data entry.
- Reduced administration.
- Improved accuracy.
- A complete audit trail from Opportunity through to Invoice.
Best Practice
- Only accept a Quote once you have received confirmation from your client.
- If changes are required after the Quote has been issued, consider creating a New Quote Version rather than modifying the accepted Quote.
- Review the newly created Job before scheduling work to ensure everything has carried across as expected.
